IMPORTANT TICKET INFORMATION - PLEASE READ

Ticket Limit: One order of up to 4 tickets is allowed per person/email address.

1. When ordering there is an option to make a nonrefundable tax-deductible donation to help make the picnic self-supporting, but please do not mistake the donation page from the ticket pages in the attachment you will receive from Eventbrite. Donation receipts and copies of other people's tickets cannot be accepted.

2. Check your inbox as well as your spam folder for an email from Eventbrite after you place your order. Each ticketholder must print out and bring their own uniquely barcoded ticket to the train station parking area for shuttle and picnic grounds access.

3. All tickets must be ordered in advance. No "Day Of," "On-site," or "Walk-in" ticketing is availalbe.

4. Cancellations: If you have more tickets than you need, please email info@steppingstones.org with your name and order number and we will void and reissue your tickets to someone if there is a waitlist.

Shuttles & Parking

Parking for ticketholders is at the commuter parking lots at the Bedford Hills Train Station off 1 Railroad Avenue, Bedford Hills, NY, 10507 from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Please carpool to the train station and use the commuter lots. As a courtesy to the downtown merchants, please do not park on the side of the tracks that is used for downtown shoppers and postal customers.

Shuttles provided by Stepping Stones are the only guest vehicles permitted to the Stepping Stones' property on picnic day. Shuttles run when full or close to capacity to bring ticketed guests to and from the site.

Carpooling to the Bedford Hills Transit Station, Railroad Ave. parking lots is encouraged.

Special Needs

A limited number of special needs parking spaces are available on the Stepping Stones' property for ticketholders with mobility impairments. Ticketholders must reserve a space in advance by emailing a request with contact information and ticket order # to info@steppingstones.org by May 30, 2016. A unique on-site parking pass will be issued via email. If you have a special need and can ride the shuttle, please inform your shuttle driver when boarding for special assistance and instructions.

Picnic Guidelines & Suggestions

Stepping Stones asks for your kind cooperation with the staff, volunteers and police regarding the following:

  • Parking and drop off/pick up of passengers is not available for any vehicles at Stepping Stones or on the neighborhood streets. Designated commuter lots at Railroad Avenue in Bedford Hills and shuttles must be used and tickets are required for access. Vehicles will not be given access to the neighborhood for drop off and pick up of people or supplies. Picnic goers and supplies must be brought in via shuttle.
  • Please do not gather or linger on the roadside areas or entrances of the Stepping Stones property or neighboring properties, streets or driveways.Volunteers will direct you uphill to access picnic check-in. We encourage you to pack light and wear comfortable walking shoes.
  • Audio Devices - In the interest of maintaining a serene atmosphere for fellowship, radios and other devices that amplify sound are not permitted.
  • Recreational Equipment - On picnic day the following are not permitted: drones, skateboards, razor scooters, roller skates, roller blades, big wheels, tricycles, bicycles, kites, tree climbing, hammocks, tents, Frisbees, and hove rboards.
  • Photography is not permitted inside the Wilsons' Home or Bill's Studio unless otherwise specified by a gallery host or docent volunteer.
  • Anonymity - In the interest of anonymity, please ask other guests' permission before including them in your photographs. Please refrain from photography and recording during the meeting.
  • Photography is not permitted by the entrances and entrance sign to Stepping Stones. Photography is permitted elsewhere on the grounds - throughout the gardens, by the New York State historic marker, and the National Historic Landmark marker.
  • Shuttles will run when at or near capacity, so please plan your time accordingly. Shuttle runs for guests begin at the train station at 11:55 a.m. and the last run from property to station is around 4:30 p.m.
  • Animals/pets are not permitted unless they are service animals.
  • Restrooms for people with special needs are located in the Welcome Center. All others please use the portable toilets provided.
  • What to bring - Lunch, sunscreen, insect repellant, hats/visors and sunglasses, and a blanket/plastic to sit on are suggested.
  • Pack In, Pack Out: Please "pack-in, pack-out" all refuse and recyclables.
  • Sodas and water are supplied.
  • Grills, barbeques, cooking, sternos, candles or fires are prohibited.
  • Smoking is not permitted within 25 feet of any structures. A designated area for smokers is at the back of the picnic area. Butt receptacles are provided. Vaping is not permitted inside any of the structures.

Donations Toward Self Support of the Picnic: As a stand-alone nonprofit, taxexempt organization, Stepping Stones welcomes your help in covering basic costs of the picnic day. A donation of at least $10 per attendee is suggested. Additional support for maintenance, preservation and operations is also appreciated and encouraged.

The Stepping Stones Foundation (Stepping Stones - Historic Home of Bill & Lois Wilson) in Katonah, New York, is a standalone, nonprofit, tax-exempt organization (Federal I.D. # 13-3031164) that fosters public understanding of alcoholism and inspires recovery by preserving and sharing the historic home, archive, and legacy of Alcoholics Anonymous Cofounder Bill Wilson and Al-Anon Family Groups Cofounder Lois Wilson.
